The National Film Centre of Latvia’s main objectives are, among others, to administer the Government’s financial support to Latvian films, to preserve the national audio-visual heritage, to promote Latvian films abroad, and to co-operate with the relevant international and national organisations. The financial support for feature films, documentaries, animated films and other film branch related projects is received from the state budget and is divided on the basis of project quality.
