The primary objectives of the Norwegian Film Institute are to preserve and restore films, to distribute and screen films, to market and inform about films in Norway, and to market Norwegian films abroad. Financial support is made available through The Norwegian Film Fund (www.filmfondet.no). Subsidies for documentary film production are also provided by the Film Centre of Western Norway (www.vestnorskfilm.no), North Norwegian Film Center A/S (www.nnfs.no) and Fond for lyd og bilde (www.kulturrad.no).
